Do I need the aiming scope for my MetroLinq?
While not required, the MetroLinq Alignment Scope, ICC-SCOPE-9X50, significantly lessens the challenge of antenna alignment by speeding up the initial stage of the alignment process. Once the scope is centered on the remote unit, only a small amount of fine-tuning is typically needed. The MetroLinq Alignment Scope saves time and money by helping to eliminate costly site re-visits and re-climbs, and is therefore highly recommended, especially for longer links. It's a must with the 35cm radios, the beamwidth is just 1 degree and very hard to align without the assistance of the scope.
